Dr. Brierley has been involved with the resolution of contract disputes for most of his professional career. Beginning in 2013 with the formation of Doctor Mole, Inc. Forensic investigations and dispute resolution services has constituted approximately 80% of his professional activities, the majority of that work has involved the issue of differing site conditions but DMI has also been asked to pine on the Standard of Care for professional services, the impact of defective specifications, and a variety of topics relating to the contracting practices for both design/bid/build and design/build contracts. Over the years Dr. Brierley has been asked to provide those services on behalf of Owners, Engineers, Contractors, and Equipment suppliers. He has participated in numerous mediations and DRB proceedings, he has been deposed on numerous occasions, and has been called upon to testify in court.
